It’s designed to co-author tragic, twisted, and triumphant stories about imprisoned pirates, desperate colonists, starvation and survival. Inspired by Dwarf Fortress, Firefly, and Dune. RimWorld is a sci-fi colony sim driven by an intelligent AI storyteller. RimWorld takes inspiration from Dwarf Fortress mixed with the a sci-fi western setting similar to Firefly and an AI Director driving events like that in Left 4 Dead. RimWorld was firs released on November 2013 and available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
